Creating Templates

Creating an LRU Template​

You can save any LRU in your drawing as a reusable template.

  1. Right-click on the LRU you want to save.
  2. Select Create Template from the context menu.
  3. Fill in the template details:
    • Name (required)
    • Description
    • Manufacturer
    • Model
    • Public — check this to make the template visible to all SkyWire Studio users.
  4. Click Save.

The template saves your LRU along with all of its connectors and pins, so loading it later recreates the full configuration.

Pro Feature

Creating LRU templates requires a Pro subscription.

Creating a Block Template​

Block templates capture an entire sheet as a reusable layout.

  1. Right-click on a sheet tab at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Select Create Template from the context menu.
  3. Fill in the template details (name, description, public toggle).
  4. Click Save.

A thumbnail of the sheet is automatically generated and saved with the template for easy identification later.
