Rectangle Annotations
The Rectangle tool lets you draw rectangular outlines on your diagram, useful for grouping elements or marking areas of interest.
Drawing a Rectangle
- Select the Rectangle tool from the annotation section of the toolbar.
- Click and drag on the canvas to define the rectangle's size.
- Release to place the rectangle.
Resizing
Double-click a rectangle to enter transform mode. Eight handles appear (one at each corner and one at each edge midpoint). Drag any handle to resize the rectangle.
Moving
Click and drag the rectangle's edge to reposition it on the canvas. The rectangle's interior is transparent and does not intercept clicks, so you must click on the stroke itself.
Visual Appearance
- Stroke — black outline by default, turns cyan on hover.
- Interior — transparent (click-through).
- Dashed — if the rectangle was created with a dashed style, the stroke uses a dashed pattern.
Deleting
Right-click the rectangle and select Delete from the context menu to remove it.
